Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University or RTMNU Nagpur is one of India’s oldest state universities in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It was founded in 1923 to impart quality education through an enriched academic culture. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University is a University Grants Commission (UGC)-approved university named after a spiritual saint, a great orator, and a musician from Vidarbha.
The huge RTMNU campus is rich in biodiversity and spiritual ecstasy. It is spread over 373 acres, consisting of 7 lush green campuses and estate buildings with extensive gardens. Currently, the university has 46 Postgraduate Teaching Departments (PGTD), 3 constituent institutions, and 503 affiliated colleges offering UG, PG, M.Phil, and PhD programmes to students from all over India and abroad. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University offers courses in law, engineering, medicine, management, and many other disciplines.
RTMNU Nagpur has many academic collaborations with prestigious foreign institutions. The university has been ranked 51st in the pharmacy category in the NIRF Ranking List 2023. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Application Process 2024
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks scored in the entrance examination or qualifying examination as per the university rules. The RTMNU application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 300 and for SC/ST candidates is Rs 200.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University campus is spread over 373 acres, consisting of 7 lush green campuses and estate buildings with big gardens. Currently, the university has 46 Postgraduate Teaching Departments (PGTD), 3 constituent institutions, and 503 affiliated colleges offering UG, PG, M.Phil, and PhD programmes to students from all over India and abroad. The RTMNU library is a three-tier library facility, well-equipped with thousands of books, making this place a classic example of enriched reading culture.
RTMNU Nagpur provides well-equipped classrooms. The labs are well-modified but lack some new technical equipment. Projectors are provided in each classroom to carry out e-learning in a hustle-free way. It also provides wi-fi connectivity to all the faculty members and students. The mess is provided only to the students of RTMNU. It is well-maintained and the hygiene of the place is greatly looked after. Both veg and non-veg meals are served here. Outside food is also allowed. The RTMNU Nagpur campus has sports complexes and gyms inside the hostel, and a separate Innovation Institutional Cell. The university also organises many engaging activities with the local communities like MSMEs, tourism departments, self-help groups, etc. The students and other members of the university celebrate many festivals together like Holi, Diwali, Lohri, Janmashtami, and more.

- Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Memorial Fellowship: It is awarded to students who are registered as research scholars in the university and is fully merit-based.
- Eklavya Scholarship: It is awarded to students doing their postgraduation, achieving 60% or more in commerce, arts, and law or more than 70% in science.
- Maths and Physics Scholarship: It is awarded to students who have maths or physics as their main subject and must achieve 60% marks in Class 12.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Events and Clubs
Recently, RTMNU organised a virtual guest lecture to celebrate World Tourism Day, 2021. It also conducted a competitive event where the registered participants have an opportunity to exhibit their creative skills in essay writing competitions.
RTMNU Nagpur celebrated Convocation Day marking the 98th Foundation Day on July 9 at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, allowing only 40-50 people to all Covid-19 protocols. On this occasion, the university distributed annual awards, about 180 medals, and prizes, to the best officers, employees, and students.
Due to the pandemic situation, many of the big events are made virtual to avoid the gathering.
